Q. Where can I find literary criticism?

Answer

Literary criticism and other scholarly sources on literary topics are found in some specific databases.  You may find a little bit in the broad coverage databases, but most likely, you are going to get frustrated in your efforts.

Instead, on the Online Databases page, use the All Subjects drop down menu to select Literature.  The three databases you find in the Best Bets! section -Gale Literary Sources, JSTOR, and Literature Ciriticism Online - will be the most helpful for locating literary criticism articles in the databases.

You can also find literary criticism in books in the library, both print and electronic.  Literary criticism is often collected in books on an author, group of authors, a work of literature, or a period of time.  Use the Library Catalog to search for the title of the work, the author, or possibly the theme you are writing about to locate additional resources available to you.
