Can I use my wireless laptop or device in the Library?

Answer

Yes you can!

You can also charge your devices while you are here.  Outlets are found throughout the library.  In addition to wall outlets, square plates on the floor can be lifted to access additional outlets.  Do not leave devices, laptops, or personal belongings unattended to avoid losing them.

Wireless Internet access is available campus-wide.

Laptops:

You can access the wireless network by opening a browser (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) on your laptop and entering your MyNortheast username and 6-digit birthdate (mmddyy), or your Office 365/stumail account password.  You may have to open your Internet settings to select the Network.  If you are connected to the NSCC_Wireless network and you don't get a login screen, enter the following address: https://1.1.1.1/login.html.

Mobile Devices:

Use your settings or other method you normally use to set up a wireless connection on your device.  If you set it up to automatically connect, a screen asking for your username and password will pop up when you try to access the network.  Sign in with your MyNortheast username and 6-digit birthdate (mmddyy), or your Office 365/stumail account password.

Community Users

Members of the community are welcome to use the wireless Internet at the Library, as well.  See a member of the staff at the Circulation Desk (2nd floor) or Reference Desk (3rd floor) to be logged onto the network.  We are unable to provide the credentials to individuals.
